Florist announce self-titled new album with gentle new single 'Red Bird Pt. 2 (Morning)', the new album is due out in July and sees the band recording as a group again after 2019's Emily Alone, which was more of a solo effort from singer Emily Sprague. The track is a soft acoustic meander with subtle electronics and affected guitars that gently buzz below the surface, there is a spacious airiness to the production which was recorded "to 1/2″ tape on a screened-in porch in June. The nature sounds are live. The birds really sang along.” The first track of this new album is an encouraging sign of things to come, a track with an understated naturally beautiful atmosphere that cannot be replicated and exists solely in the moment of recording. -Toby Evans-Jesra
